GOOD, Woodstock

GOOD in Woodstock spoke in a clean, contemporary industrial language — exposed concrete, generous volume, crisp white epoxy, and warm, tactile retail interventions that softened the harder shell of the space. The atmosphere was understated yet expressive: refined, urban, and carefully composed.

Since then, the founder of GOOD has gone on to build Neighbourgood into a far broader property, hospitality, and workspace brand operating across South Africa and the United States, centred on thoughtfully designed, all-inclusive accommodation, workspaces, and connected community experiences. I continue to create and collaborate on design work with their team, whose ethos I deeply admire. They have always been an exceptional client — visionary, values-led, and a genuine pleasure to work with.

Modern interior of a co-working / mixed-use space with layers of raw concrete stairs and built-in seating areas, industrial exposed ceilings, and expressive artwork and colour blocks on white walls.
Display of home decor items including vases, bags, textiles, and small accessories on shelves and tables in a minimalist retail store.
Clothing store fitting room and curated display section with re-purposed cardboard half-rounds to form a wall-covering, soft floor to soffit white curtain, some greenery, and clothes hanging on a rack. Interesting textures to keep the senses engaged.
