Sol Cake is a Cape Town-based interior design studio creating high-impact, intuitive and expressive spaces for homes, hospitality and lifestyle environments.

Founded by interior designer Celine Deeves, Sol Cake was built from a belief that the spaces we live in shape our daily experience — influencing how we feel, move, rest, connect and recharge. With a strong focus on atmosphere, comfort, materiality and clarity, the studio approaches design in a way that balances beauty with functionality, creating interiors that feel layered, calming and personal rather than overly polished or trend-driven.

Celine approaches design through a people-first lens, shaped by a deep interest in psychology, wellbeing, sensory experience and the emotional impact of space. Her work is rooted in understanding how environments affect mood, behaviour and everyday rituals, with careful attention given to spatial flow, natural light, texture, warmth and the overall feeling a space creates. Deeply inspired by nature, comfort, travel and slower, more intentional ways of living, she believes good design should not only look beautiful, but genuinely support the people living within it.

Working across high-end residential, hospitality and creative commercial projects, Sol Cake offers turnkey interior architectural design & decor, spatial planning, finishes specification, soft furnishings, and design-led project coordination for both local and international clients. Drawing inspiration from lived experience, sensory detail and contemporary warmth, Celine’s work represents this with a strong focus on the details.
