The design direction for this development in Hermanus was a modern interpretation of Cape Vernacular — warm, textured, expressive and inviting. A base of soft neutrals layered with large-format tiles and stone slabs, stack-bonded brick cladding, natural timber finishes and subtle pops of bright colour to create spaces that feel refined yet expressive. Maximising the impact of high clerestory windows, natural light pours into the main bathroom and kitchen — two spaces that hold such importance in the rhythm and heart of a home. The overall scheme balances clean lines with comfort, resulting in a chic, tactile and seamlessly ergonomic experience. A personal favourite- the gorgeous sanctuary of a master bedroom in particular captured this essence beautifully, with its warm wooden finishes and striking A-frame roof with exposed painted timber battens adding character, softness and a strong sense of home.
